Say hello to the SAR Wild Run, the Central Valley’s coolest summer trail race and family hike, happening Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the scenic Shaver Lake. This one-of-a-kind event isn’t just about miles—it’s about mission.

Hosted by Fresno County Search and Rescue, the SAR Wild Run is more than a race—it's a full-on mountain experience. With distances for every age and ability, this is your chance to run wild, get muddy, see Bigfoot (well, maybe), and support the very team that helps keep us safe in the Sierra.

Tackle the half marathon, power through the wild and muddy 5K, or take it easy on the 2-mile family walk—all while supporting real-life heroes. At the finish line, celebrate your impact with some well-earned BBQ and a cold drink from the beer garden—you’ve earned it.

This isn’t just another race—it’s a FUNdraiser where every step supports boots-on-the-ground search and rescue missions across Fresno County. Come for the challenge, stay for the community, and leave with a medal, a smile, and possibly a Big Foot selfie.
